Zen Pearls

“The Way is perfect like vast space, when nothing is lacking and nothing is in excess.”
.
Journey on a path which no longer exists,
no walker either, just the walking alone.
Yet wandering across the mist,
is the only way back home.
Beyond Words
November 3, 2009 § 7 Comments
Alan Watts says; “if we think is because we’re manipulating with symbols … then, the ghosts in our languages are in fact the limit of our reason.”
Also aims that fortunately we might not be completely lost after that, because as the Dutch philosopher Aart van der Leeuw wisely said; “the mystery of life is not a problem to be solved, but a reality to be experienced.”
Paradox

“We have more degrees, but less sense;
more knowledge, but less judgment;
more experts, but more problems;
more medicines, but less healthiness.
We’ve been all the way to the moon and back,
but have trouble crossing the street to meet the new neighbour…”
In a Manner of Speaking

“In a Manner of speaking
I just want to say
That I could never forget the way
You told me everything
By saying nothing
In a manner of speaking
I don’t understand
How love in silence becomes reprimand
But the way that I feel about you
Is beyond words
Oh give me the words
Give me the words
That tell me nothing
Oh give me the words
Give me the words
That tell me everything …
In a manner of speaking
Semantics won’t do
In this life that we live we only make do
And the way that we feel
Might have to be sacrificed
So in a manner of speaking
I just want to say
That just like you I should find a way
To tell you everything
By saying nothing.”
